Timber windows

We offer a wide range of timber windows; styles, profiles and colours to suit the character and style of your home. Sometimes only the natural finish of traditional timber windows are acceptable. Ideal for character and listed buildings.

Product overview

Our traditional timber windows, doors and conservatories are not produced in large factories by computer controlled machines, neither do we use ‘engineered timber’ that is so prevalent today – primarily used to hide the younger timber more commonly available.

Instead, our windows are custom-made by experienced craftsmen, using age old traditional techniques and skills. The timber used is solid hardwood in choice of species, seasoned and milled ready for your bespoke timber window, door and conservatory requirements.

This timber is procured only from sustained and cultivated forests, all of which adhere to strict worldwide environmental guidelines. The only break from tradition is the modern hardware that we employ for increased security and reduced maintenance, although hidden from view and still in keeping with the classic elegant styles, thus maintaining the traditional look and character of timber.

Looking for a particular colour?

Introduce a splash of colour with any BS or RAL paint finish to create a truly individual design statement for your timber windows. A comprehensive range of colour options can be selected, ranging from soft neutral tones to bright bold shades. We can also match any Farrow & Ball colours where a traditional finish is required.

A wide range of stain options are available combined with clear timber to achieve a seamless finish. Stain takes a slightly different appearance dependent on timber specification; grain appears more prominent on hardwood where softwood results in a smoother finish.

Different paints or stains can be specified for internal or external sides giving flexibility in meeting building aesthetics as well as inside decor.

To achieve our fully factory finished products, our timber windows undergo a four stage treatment process in the appearance of the products, ensuring our high specification benchmark is adhered to.
