What does 2017 have in store?

Last year we experienced one of the busiest ever years in our 26 years of trading.

Here we are now in 2017 – it’s only just got going and already it appears the year could be another busy one for Window Wise!

House builders and the construction industry in general are continuing to experience a steady increase in orders. The government has committed to create 14 new garden cities across the UK and in our own central Sussex area there’s already clear evidence of new homes being built in many places.

It is not all about new build though. The refurbishment sector – both commercial and domestic – is seeing increased activity as well.

The £369 million refurbishment of Buckingham Palace will see the replacement of 1,514 doors and 760 windows, while just down the road & around the corner from Buckingham Palace the Houses of Parliament are suffering from a crumbling infrastructure.

Experts say that nearly 3,000 windows need replacing and many of the buildings’ 500 doors are also in need of either repair or replacement.

Imagine changing all those windows…

Unfortunately it’s unlikely that Window Wise will be asked to undertake any of this work!

Trends in the local domestic property market are also a useful indication of what we can expect in the forthcoming year.

Many homeowners are deciding not to move and consequently considering the options of improving and extending their properties.

A number of surveys have concluded that installing replacement, energy efficient windows and doors is not only one of the most desirable and popular home improvements but can enhance and add value to a property.

Furthermore, a home extension in the form of either a conservatory or an orangery will create cost effective stylish additional living space that can be used throughout the year.

Significant developments and improvements in these products have resulted in a wide and varied portfolio that Window Wise is now able to offer. For more details please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to discussing any ideas you may have and to working with you in the future.
