A state-of-the-art project in Henfield
Sometimes the words spectacular and grand design are over-used – but in this case, they fit perfectly.
We were invited by a prestigious building company we have worked with on numerous occasions to supply and install the windows and doors for a remarkable new-build home in Henfield, West Sussex.
From the outset, the innovative, design-led approach to glazing made this one of our most exciting projects to date.
Slim, black aluminium
Our client had a clear vision: sleek, contemporary lines with glazing that maximised light and views.
Three words summed up their ideal material choice – Slim. Black. Aluminium.
Ultra-slim aluminium windows and doors were the perfect solution, giving them:
- Strength and durability – ideal for large-scale glazing.
- Slim profiles – letting light flood in for a contemporary feel.
- Low-maintenance finish – with powder-coated aluminium.
- Limitless colour options – tailored to suit the design.
Rising to the challenge
This striking new-build incorporated expansive areas of architectural glazing.
Therefore, it was paramount that we met strict performance specifications – including U and G value requirements for energy efficiency and an overheating assessment to ensure the home stayed comfortable year-round.
By using high-performance glazing throughout, we achieved a balance of efficiency, comfort and spectacular design.
Grand scale
Many of the glazed units were oversized, requiring specialist handling. The property’s location also demanded careful planning
We brought in cranes to lift the tonnes of glass into place, and glazing robots to ensure every aspect of the installation was precise – a feat of engineering in itself.
Made for the view
Strategically positioned sliding patio doors, fabricated from ultra-slim powder coated aluminium, frame sweeping countryside views.
Matching internal French doors mirror the style of the external glazing, creating a contemporary industrial edge reminiscent of Crittall steel designs.
Elevated design
Among the many bespoke features were two architectural windows with dramatic 45-degree returns.
Seen from inside, they create a striking effect that transforms the interior as much as the exterior.
Over the moon
The result is nothing short of spectacular.
This was a truly individual installation and our client was “over the moon” – not only with the finished glazing but also with our professional approach and meticulous attention to detail.
