Haywards Heath Cycle Centre is an important and familiar feature of our town. Unfortunately, over the Christmas and New Year period, a break-in caused major damage to the shopfront’s windows and doors.
The property owner wanted to use a trusted local company who could provide a quick turnaround to help the business reopen and start trading again, with minimal disruption.
For Window Wise, it was a privilege to deliver a fast turnaround and a smart, secure finish for one of Haywards Heath’s best-known independent retailers.
A trusted local relationship
This project came to us through an existing customer relationship. The property owner had previously used Window Wise around eight years earlier for another commercial property.
Having already experienced the Window Wise workmanship and professionalism first-hand, the property owner could be confident that we would bring our commercial expertise to this urgent refurbishment.
Restoring a prominent high street premises
Located on the busy Broadway in Haywards Heath, the Cycle Centre occupies a prominent position amongst the area’s popular bars, restaurants and independent businesses.
The break-in had left the original metal-framed windows and doors severely damaged, creating both security concerns and a major interruption to trading. Our client wanted to take the opportunity to completely modernise the shopfront, replacing the existing windows and doors with a more secure, energy-efficient alternative through their insurance claim.
Window Wise specified and installed a new aluminium framing system incorporating commercial entrance doors with insulating thermal break technology, complete with laminated security glazing and a smart anthracite grey powder-coated finish.

Working in a busy town centre
As with all commercial projects, careful planning is essential to minimise disruption and make sure the job runs smoothly.

This project required the Window Wise team to work on a public footpath during business hours, so we coned-off safety zones whilst maintaining access for pedestrians and neighbouring businesses. Co-ordinating deliveries and installation around Haywards Heath’s rush-hour traffic also presented a challenge for us to manage!
The installation was completed smoothly and efficiently, allowing the businesses to reopen quickly and safely.

The finished result delivered exactly what our client had hoped for – a fresh look combined with improved security and energy efficiency.
The durable commercial-grade aluminium frames and laminated security glazing will provide long-term peace of mind, whilst the anthracite grey finish gives the property a sharp, modern presence on The Broadway.
